Holly Zahn, associate director of special events in the Newhouse School, and her husband, Rory Shannon, took their daughter, Edie, to visit Yellowstone National Park in July. They saw Old Faithful, Gibbon Falls and Mammoth Hot Springs as part of a trip celebrating Rory’s 20-year reunion with his Burkina Faso Peace Corps cohort.

One of the must-attend events of the summer for alumni, students, parents, family members and friends of the University living in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia is the Orange and Blue BBQ weekend. This year’s gathering, the 17th annual celebration of all things Syracuse, occurred at Rosaryville State Park in Maryland.
