Chancellor J. Michael Haynie was formally inaugurated on Friday, becoming the 13th chancellor and president of Syracuse University.
His investiture in the JMA Wireless Dome followed a day of ideas, discovery and dialogue on campus with and marked the University community gathering to celebrate a defining moment in campus history.
In his remarks, Haynie said he stood before the community, not with “all the answers,” but with a promise for the future and his leadership.
“We will ask the right questions, together, with honesty and without fear,” Haynie said.
